From Air to Liquid Nitrogen: The Process Explained
The LDH liquid nitrogen generator follows a meticulously engineered multi-stage process to produce high-purity LN2 directly from ambient air. This ensures quality and consistency from start to finish.
Air Compression & Pre-treatment: Atmospheric air is first compressed and then passed through a series of filters and a refrigerated dryer to remove oil, water, and dust particles.
Nitrogen Separation (PSA): The clean, dry air enters the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) unit. Here, carbon molecular sieves selectively adsorb oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other trace gases, allowing high-purity nitrogen gas to pass through.
Cryogenic Refrigeration: The purified nitrogen gas is then directed into the liquefier's cold box. A powerful, closed-loop refrigeration system cools the nitrogen down to approximately -196°C (-320°F).
